17 Year Old Virgins?
Vermis Mysteriis asks, “Why are seventeen year old female virgins always the most perverted people?” after reading “Playing With Fire.”
Lyra answers: Well first, I feel it necessary to point out that if you took an anonymous survey you’d probably find that 17 year old female virgins are NOT the most perverted people on the planet. Moving on now.
One word – Repression. It’s the same reason why my writer-friend Katie went and wrote a necrophilia fic. She’s a recovering Catholic. I’m not saying that Catholicism is bad now. Merely that is isn’t for some people. Some people are simply built to be non-religious or whatever suits them better. (I hope Katie doesn’t kill me for this…)
You spend your whole life having CHASTITY hammered into your head. Must be a good girl. Must not be bad and dirty. Sex ruins girls. You’ll wind up pregnant with no future and no one will want you. AND FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE, DON’T TOUCH YOURSELF!
Meanwhile, in the vast majority of cases, boys are treated entirely different. “Whoa, you’re doing 8 girls at a time? Dude, you the MAN!” Most cases are obviously not so blatant, but nevertheless you can definitely tell the difference. This goes all the way back to the earliest days. Why? Because most places were very patriarchal. A woman’s place was beneath a man (har har). However the real problem was because everything was passed down to the children, it was necessary to ensure that your wife’s children were indeed sired by you. How? Repression, sexual control, brainwashing from the youngest age.
Even in today’s loose and wild world it still happens.
On top of that, to make matters worse, men still want the nice, loyal, woman (virginal) to settle down with and raise a family, but they also want the sexy, experienced, no-holds-barred woman to have a good time with! This has shown up many times in surveys. What the hell is a girl supposed to do?
Childhood mental battles ensue. You probably don’t even notice them. I certainly didn’t. But the fact of the matter is that we are all naturally, as humans, a species that desires sex and pleasure. Women do not naturally have lower sex drives than men! This is something that happens as a result of conditioning, aka upbringing. The average guy is said to think about sex every 6 seconds and have 11 erections each day. What about women?
So at some point, a handful of the “good little girls” suddenly realize it’s okay to embrace your sexuality. Don’t ask me how this happens, I have no idea. The result is throwing yourself into any sort of sex you can. Some actually go and have sex (like all those catholic school girls that boys get a hold of and can manipulate them into doing practically anything in bed by telling them that all girls do it). Others still aren’t ready to quite go that far and so they develop very unvirginal minds while their bodies remain virginal.
I like to think that I know a lot about sex, even though I’ve done practically nothing. Certainly enough so that I was able to write “Playing With Fire” and have several women who HAVE had sex say that it was good. Aka not wrong, stupid, inaccurate and immature. I read a lot. You fill in the blanks. Half of it is more of a scientifically driven curiosity about the body and sexual psychology and the other half is just a healthy enjoyment of smut. ^_^ That’s how I happily dealt with my childhood trauma of being raised in a good little Chinese family.

There you have it. Don’t like perverted 17 year old virgins? CHANGE SOCIETY. Then again, I’m not sure how many guys nowadays wouldn’t like this group of girls.
